This Pride Month, we’re honoring that spirit by spotlighting the local organizations and programs uplifting LGBTQIA+ lives across Upstate New York. These groups are doing the vital, everyday work of creating safer, kinder, and more inclusive spaces for all! Here are a few we’re honored to highlight:

Based in Glens Falls, Lower Adirondack Pride fosters visibility, connection, and celebration in the North Country. From youth programming and community education to their annual Pride Festival, they’re a powerful reminder that rural communities can be proudly loud and beautifully inclusive!
2. Saratoga Pride (Saratoga) | www.saratogapride.com
Saratoga Pride is a welcoming network that connects LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies in Saratoga Springs and the surrounding region. They organize social events, Pride celebrations, and community-building activities year-round to foster visibility and support in a friendly, small-town atmosphere. Their mission centers on creating a vibrant and inclusive presence in the North Country!

Pride Sports Albany brings LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies together through team sports, fitness, and fun. Whether you're into kickball, dodgeball, or volleyball, their leagues are designed to promote connection, inclusion, and healthy competition in a welcoming environment.
4. SAGE Upstate (Syracuse) | www.sageupstate.org
SAGE serves LGBTQIA+ elders through health programs, social activities, and advocacy. Their work ensures that Pride is something we carry with us across a lifetime.

5. Rochester Rainbow Union | www.rochesterrainbowunion.com
The Rochester Rainbow Union (RRU) is a community hub in Rochester, NY, dedicated to uplifting the LGBTQIA+ community through inclusive outreach, education, and cultural preservation. Home to the Lilac Library (one of the largest LGBTQIA+ collections in the U.S.) RRU also hosts events, mutual aid efforts, a community clothing closet, and is relaunching The Empty Closet, a historic queer publication. Their space offers a welcoming environment for connection, learning, and support.
6. OutHudson (Hudson, NY) | www.outhudsonny.com
OutHudson organizes the annual Hudson Pride Parade & Festival and hosts events throughout the year like queer proms, film screenings, and educational workshops. Their mission is to improve visibility and inclusion in Columbia County.
