Fall Foliage Hotspots for Backroads & Byways

Fall Foliage Hotspots for Backroads & Byways

Fall Foliage to many is the pinnacle time of year to experience the true beauty of nature. With the release of our new collection Backroads & Byways this week, we've curated some of our favorite scenic places around the country to escape the hustle of your busy day to day. #BackroadsandByways
Featured Destination: Green Mountain Byway - Stowe, VT
Not only is Stowe, VT. a great place to envelop in nature during the winter, it’s also home to the Green Mountain Scenic Byway. Peak season can be appreciated from the last week of September into Mid November in the area. Not for the faint of heart, Stowe Pinnacle takes an average hour and a half of steep hiking to trek to the top, but the views are breathtaking! The trailhead is at 663 Upper Hollow Rd. Before the trek, your morning pick me ups should be fueled by none other than, PK Coffee in town.
Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri
Prior to its recognition from hit Netflix Series, Ozarks, the lake has been known to have a history of attracting people with outdoor sports and colorful fall foliage. Lake of the Ozarks State Park is a must when searching for the best foliage in the Midwest. Entering the coordinates (38.07613, -92.57067) in your phone or GPS will score you access to the Lake View Bend Trail which offers lakeside views where you’ll encounter woodlands as well as some rocky terrain. We recommend staying at the Inn At Harbour Ridge Bed and Breakfast for a more personal and welcoming atmosphere.
Breckenridge, Colorado
Despite being a desirable destination in the summer and winter, autumn is picture perfect in Breckenridge, CO! Take some time to visit Borea’s Pass. Perfect for bikers and foliage seekers, this trail displays amazing views with leaves peaking around early September to the beginning of October. With our love for coffee, a cool and cozy spot to check out before venturing off is at The Crown right on Main Street.

Poconos Mountains, PA
Two and a half hours west of New York City, the Poconos are perfect for everything adventure and Fall! Your best bet to catch beautiful color change in the trees: Mid September - Mid October. Driving down Route 202 will give passengers a chance to kick back, relax, and soak up the scenery. Make sure that you’ve got a snack and coffee from Cafe Duet on hand in case you get hungry on the drive.

Catskill Mountains
So many mountains in the Northeast, so many fall views. The Catskill Mountains standout among the rest! Aim for early to mid October to find the leaves as colorful as they can be. Stop by 2 locations to make the most out of your trip. Both the Kaaterskill Falls and Wild Forest are a must. Waterfalls are always a sight to see, but while the leaves are ranging in colors, it's just that much better. Ponds, trails, and small hikes, the Wild Forest has got it all. After your travels, grab a coffee and a bite to eat from local spot Hilo Catskill. If planning to stay in the area, look into booking at what we consider one of the areas finest cabins, A Black A-Frame.
