Read more about Emily below:
Where are you based?
I am based in Catskill, New York. I would love to eventually move somewhere on the West Coast!
What kind of photography do you shoot?
I’m not one to stick to a certain niche so I like to branch out to all different types of photography that include landscape, wildlife, wedding, event, product, and real estate.
How long have you been doing photography and how did you start?
I have been shooting for 4 years but started freelancing two years ago! My father was a sports photographer and I would watch him take photos. I became fascinated with the idea of capturing moments with a camera.
What’s your favorite photo that you’ve taken?
Definitely tough to choose but I’d have to say one of my sunset photos from California. I hiked up Moro Rock in Sequoia National Park to get to this view. Capturing the sun going down behind the mountains while the sky changed colors just created the perfect scene!
What has been your favorite adventure?
My favorite adventure was my trip to Northern California during the summer of 2021! I saw so many iconic places like Lake Tahoe, Sequoia, Death Valley, Yosemite and Big Sur. There was such a variety of breathtaking landscapes to experience.
What's your favorite town/city in Upstate New York?
My favorite town in Upstate NY would have to be Lake Placid, Adirondacks. It’s one of the places I love to revisit every summer. The views are amazing and there is so much to do during every season. I personally love to hike in the fall and the Adirondacks offer plenty of beautiful scenic trails!
How do you achieve your #upstateofmind?
I achieve my upstate of mind by exploring everything that upstate New York has to offer. Whether it’s finding waterfalls, new hiking trails, climbing mountain tops, or just simply walking through small towns!
