2015 was a very exciting year for us. Although we officially launched in November, many exciting things happened over the course of the year. We were fortunate to work with many awesome people and had countless great conversations.
To everyone who has bought something from us, listened to our brand pitch, worked with us in any form, or even just embraced the Compas Life as a lifestyle...thank you.
There are a lot of really cool things that we have in store for you in 2016. We can't wait to get new products out to you and work on our countless projects and adventures.
We hope each and everyone of you had a great 2015 and that 2016 is even more fulfilling and adventurous. Get out there and go!
Some of our highlights from 2015:
Bear Mountain Hike (May 2015):
Memorial Day Weekend 2015. Months before our launch, we had a great group of people take part of our first adventure. We got lost a few times and missed a few people, but we managed to have a great time and spend an entire day out on the trails. Afterwords we enjoyed a delicious meal and some tasty ales at Peekskill Brewery. We always like to support local purveyors of food and beverage, and these guys do it right. I highly recommend their Simple Sour.
You can view our previous blog about this event here, but the 2015 Craftskills marked our first ever retail market. It was great to get out and talk to people and really push our brand on a new demographic of people. We very much look forward to next year!
Albany Barn Studio:
This year we moved into our first studio at the Albany Barn. The Albany Barn is a community art center in the Arbor Hill neighborhood of Albany, New York. Although we technically moved into our first studio in 2014, we really didn't get set up until the Spring of 2015. Working at the barn has been great. There is a great community of artists constantly with a constant flow of new talent and energy. We're very excited for 2016 and further intergrating into the Barn culture!
